Refund policy
We want every customer to have a successful experience with planting our native seeds. We note the typical germination requirements wherever possible on our website and seed packets as a guide, but because our seeds are typically from wild type perennial plants, there is intrinsic variability in germination timelines for each seed. Some seeds in the same batch germinate relatively quickly and easily while others may not germinate until weeks or months later. This variability is key to the evolution and survival of plant species, and like anything related to gardening, there are no guarantees.
No Refunds for Seeds
There are a number of factors related to germination for certain plant species: a need for a cold weather period (i.e. winter), sunlight, fluctuating temperatures, and soil moisture. All of these factors and more determine whether a plant will grow from a seed and even more issues can arise for seedlings, including potential diseases in the soil or animals that eat them. All of these factors are things that we can not control once the seeds have left our storage. We therefore are unable to offer refunds for seeds. If you are having trouble with establishing a particular species or with a particular microenvironment, please do reach out to us so that we can offer advice and help mitigate the issue or issues.
Returns
As noted above, seeds are extraordinarily variable by nature and we do not control the storage conditions for them once they have shipped. We therefore can not accept returns.
Order Errors
If we send the wrong item or items, please let us know and attach a picture in your correspondence and we will ship the correct item(s) to you as quickly as possible.
Missing Packages
If USPS tracking identifies your package as delivered and you are unable to locate it, we cannot refund or replace it. Please use the USPS Missing Mail Search and contact your local post office.
Order Cancellations/Changes
If you change your mind about an order and want to cancel or edit it, please email us as quickly as possible. If we have not processed it, we will make sure the requested changes are made.
